  Reyyan Niaz Khan

  Brief Profile  

Born on July 6, 1989. Reyyan Niaz Khan completed his Bachelors in Electrical Engineer from University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore. He has been an active part of many character building and social activities. He is the founder of Gujranwala Engineers Maverick Society (GEMS), the largest group of engineers from Gujranwala division. He was the President of the Blood Donor Society, General Secretary of Electronics Club and HR coordinator at IET during his four years at UET, Lahore. He is also the Youth Representative of the largest group of Engineers in Pakistan which holds two-third seats in Pakistan Engineering Council commonly known as The Pakistan Engineers Forum. Currently he is employed by U.S AID Pakistan as a GIS Field Engineer.

Politically, Reyyan Niaz Khan is affiliated with Green Party and is working as Youth Shadow Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication

Second Session
(24-04-2013)

Mr. Umar Naeem (YP48-PUNJAB31) and Mr Reyyan Niaz Khan (YP23-PUNJAB06) would like to move the following resolution. “This House is of the opinion that anyone involved in abrogating the constitution of Pakistan should be met with iron fist. It is imperative that the cases revolving around the violation of constitution must not be personalized and all the civilian and military people involved into the incidents of 1999 coup ex dictator and the November 3, 2007 emergency should be taken to task, so that justice may be done.”

Mr Reyyan Niaz Khan (YP23-PUNJAB06) would like to move the following resolution: “This House is of the opinion that the recent democratic dispensation came as a result of great sacrifices rendered by the people of Pakistan. And for further continuation of the democratic setup in the government balance of power between institutions should be made in order to strengthen the federation and constitutionalism for the resolution of national issues. The house supports the efforts made by the all the political parties for strengthening the democracy in these five years time and expects the same response by them in the formation of new government.”

Mr Reyyan Niaz Khan (YP23-PUNJAB06) would like to move the following resolution:“This House expresses complete solidarity of people of Pakistan with the government and people of United States of America on the recent two incidents of Texas and Boston .Conveys the deep sympathies of the people of Pakistan for the families of those who lost their loved ones as well as to those whose lives have been affected. Affirms conviction that the American people will soon overcome the effects of the catastrophe and rebuild and fully recover from the effects of these disasters remembers with gratitude the support and assistance given by United States of America to Pakistan at both national and international forums .Reaffirms the friendship and excellent relations existing between the people of the two countries. Reiterates the readiness of the people of Pakistan to stand by the people of USA and assist in any manner possible.”

Mr. Reyyan Niaz Khan (YP23-PUNJAB06) and Ms. Momna Naeem (YP31-PUNJAB14) would like to move the following resolution: “This House is of the opinion that youth Unemployment is an alarming tone for the survival of the country. Youth is unemployed due to population explosion, copy culture, lack of industrialization, Interruption of political parties in educational institutions, Weak economic plan and management, Therefore Govt. should take immediate steps over this crunch issue to save the lives, career and future of thousands of hard-working young people.”

Mr. Reyyan Niaz (YP23-PUNJAB06) and Ms Momna Naeem (YP31-PUNJAB14) would like to move the following resolution that “This house strongly believes that government should take steps to help women attain the rights they deserve in the society. Adequate efforts are required in education, health and family arenas of women life. Recent Government have taken some initial steps to improve women status and the role of NGO’s in this sector cannot be neglected”.

Mr. Reyyan Niaz Khan (YP23-PUNJAB06) would like to move the following resolution “This House expresses serious concern over the growing trend of obscenity and vulgarity in our electronic media. This house calls upon the government to direct the concerned authorities including PEMRA and PTA to strictly implement laws for positive use of electronic media.”
