Born on June 10, 1984. Sonia Riaz completed her M.B.B.S from Bolan Medical College, Quetta. She has keen Interest in National and International issues/politics. She has also has done Masters in Political Science from Balochistan University, Quetta. Her interest in performing arts brought her to Radio Pakistan in 2003 and was declared as the Best DJ/Anchor of FM101 Quetta in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009. She has written many promos and scripts for Radio and her contributions played a tremendous role in making FM101 Quetta as the most demanding channel of the city. She has been declared as 'Woman of the Year 2007' in the field of Media/Radio and received an award by 'Star Award', a renowned International Organization South Asia Publications. Her biographical outline was published in widely acclaimed Profile Book 'Galaxies of Who's is Who in Pakistan '. She is the winner of 'National Youth Award 2009'. She has been selected among one of the five students in Pakistan to participate in ''Saarc Youth Workshop for Harmony'' in South Asia Region in 2010. She was selected for a 'Youth Delegation to China' where she represented Pakistan and also delivered an extempore speech at Pakistan's Embassy in Beijing. Her Interests include Law, Politics, Democracy and Meritocracy. In future she plans to join civil services. |
