Born on June 24, 1991. Saman Zahra hails from Sahiwal, Punjab. She is enrolled in B.Sc. (Honors) in Political Science at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore. She has remained an active part of various student societies at the university including Amnesty International, LUMS Community Services Society, Alpha Society and Spades. Previously, Saman completed her F.Sc. from Divisional Public School (DPS), Sahiwal and Matriculation from Fauji Foundation Model School, Sahiwal by receiving certificates of academic distinction and academic merit scholarships. She remained Head Girl at DPS, Sahiwal (2007-09) and constantly participated in curricular and extra-curricular activities including debates and essay writing competitions. She participated in inter-city competitions held at Multan and various other cities in Punjab. At LUMS, she has been awarded with National Outreach Program (NOP) scholarship. By being involved within the course of active research, she is currently evaluating, analyzing and qualifying the discourses and modes of existence in diverse political spheres. She believes in the strengthening of democracy and building a strong justice system in Pakistan.

Politically, Saman Zahra is affiliated with Blue Party and is member of Youth Parliament Standing Committee on Interior, Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA
