Born on March 24th, 1991, Hira Mumtaz recently acquired a degree of Bachelors in Economics and Political Science from Lahore University of Management Sciences in June 2013. She has actively been involved in the LUMS Model United Nations Society, LUMS Media Art Society and the DramaLine Society; organizing LUMUN each year, the biggest MUN conference in Pakistan, as well as the Olympiad, and have been representing LUMS and Pakistan at National and international platforms such as the Turkey Model United Nations. She is also an active member of the Rotaract Club, and has worked for CARE Foundation. Her professional experience includes working at International Business Machines, Infrastructure Project Development Facility, Gallup Pakistan, The News, and LUMS. She likes travelling, swimming, and reading in her free time. |

Ms. Hira Mumtaz (YP41-PUNJAB24) and Mr. Yasir Abbas (YP08-GB01) would like to move the following resolution: “The House should discuss the situation in Syria, and its alleged use of chemical weapons, given its significance on the stability of the Middle East and its impact on Pakistan. It further believes that the international community should wait for the outcome of the UN investigation before taking any action.” |
